Frequently Asked Questions

Do you still plan weddings? Can I hire you?

Nope and nope! I am fully out of the game, and the only way I can do this (*waving arms about*) is if it's fun, not work. I am beholden to nobody.

Can you recommend a florist in Philadelphia? Or an all inclusive venue in Omaha? Or a wedding photographer in San Diego?

Probably not. What I can do is point you in the direction of resources (Facebook groups, Reddit, etc.) and advise you on how to sort through the vendors to find the one that works for you.

Why aren't you a wedding planner anymore? Were you good at it?

Sometimes! I am very good at conceiving of ideas, the actual planning of events, and understanding the logistics of everything. But I was (and still am!) very bad at time management, communication, pricing my services fairly, keeping my business license up to date, and responding to criticism. This is why I am no longer a wedding planner, and instead, am just some lady who runs her mouth for free on the internet.

Why don't you talk much about wedding dresses, attire, or styling?

Honestly, this is the area that I just don't know much about! I can tell you roughly what alterations cost, I can tell you that satin bridesmaids dresses in hot weather are a bad idea, and I can tell you that none of these dresses are made for people who need to wear a regular-ass bra. Beyond that, you're on your own!

Okay, not totally on your own. If you aren't sure where to start, or have a specific vision in mind that you can't seem to find, look into a bridal stylist! Personally, I think Alysia Cole is the GOAT in this department.

How do you pronounce your name?

Ah-lee-thee-ah.

You swear too much.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We'd love to hear from you!
